2. What data we collect

None. Snap & Swipe does not collect any personal data. There is no server, no user account, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party services that receive your information.

3. What stays on your device

The app stores the following information locally on your iPhone. This data never leaves your device:

• Review history: Which photos and videos you have already reviewed, so you are not shown the same item twice.
• Statistics: Count of photos reviewed, kept and deleted, storage freed, which months you have already gone through, plus your streak and daily activity.
• Pending deletions: Photos and videos you have marked for deletion but not confirmed yet.
• Scan results: Checksums and image features computed for duplicate detection, the groups found and the state of the scan, so later scans only need to check new photos and videos.
• Settings: Onboarding status and app preferences.

This data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework in a local database. You can delete all of it any time via Settings → Reset Statistics, Clear Pending Deletions or Rescan Duplicates From Scratch, or by uninstalling the app.

4. Access to your photo library (photos and videos)

The app requests access to your photo library to function. This access is used only to:

• Display photos within the app so you can review them
• Generate on-device feature prints (via Apple's Vision framework) for duplicate detection
• Find exact copies: for this the app reads the original files of photos and videos and computes a checksum from them on the device
• Delete photos and videos you have explicitly confirmed for deletion (using the standard iOS deletion mechanism, which moves them to “Recently Deleted” for 30 days)

If originals are kept only in iCloud because of “Optimize iPhone Storage”, iOS downloads them from your iCloud through Apple's Photos interface (PhotoKit) when needed: to show them in full quality (setting “High-quality preview”) and, if you turn on “Download originals over Wi‑Fi”, during the duplicate scan, over Wi‑Fi only. This transfer takes place between your device and Apple. We receive no data.

Your photos and videos are never uploaded by the app, copied off the device or shared with anyone. All analysis happens on your device, image comparison using Apple's Vision framework.

5. In-app purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not receive your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Apple acts as the seller and provides us only with anonymized purchase confirmation so the app can unlock Pro features.

6. Cookies and tracking

The app does not use cookies, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers (IDFA) or any third-party SDKs. On first launch the app reports once to Apple's install attribution (SKAdNetwork) that it was installed. This is an iOS feature: it works without an advertising identifier, the app sends no data about you, and Apple tells an ad network at most in aggregate whether an install came from an ad campaign. The app reports no further events.

7. Email feedback

If you choose to send feedback via the Settings → Send Feedback button, your iOS Mail app opens a draft email to kontakt@topasells.com. We only see what you choose to send us. We use such emails only to respond to your inquiry and improve the app, and we do not share them with third parties.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

Since we do not collect or process any personal data, most GDPR rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) have no data to apply to. However, you have the right to:

• Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (in Germany: BfDI)

9. Children

Snap & Swipe is intended for general audiences and is rated 4+ in the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone (children or adults).

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be published at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted at the top.
