This website processes no personal data beyond what is technically necessary to deliver it. Which data that is, and who handles it, is set out in the following sections.
Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the website, Vercel processes technically necessary access data (in particular IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser and operating system information) in order to deliver the website and to ensure the security and stability of the system. Vercel retains these server logs only for a short period. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and efficient operation of the website. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel under Art. 28 GDPR. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply in addition. Our email mailbox is operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Incoming enquiries are stored there. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies. Not even for analytics. If that ever becomes necessary, there'll be a banner.
Language preference (local storage)
So that you see your last chosen language (German or English) on your next visit, the website stores this choice in your browser's local storage (localStorage). No personal data is collected and nothing is transmitted to us or to third parties. This storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and therefore requires no consent. You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.
Fonts
The fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server and loaded from there. No connection to Google or any other font provider is established, and no IP address is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
Contact form (business customers and suppliers)
When you use our contact form for business customers and suppliers, the following details are processed: subject, name, company, email address, message and, optionally, your phone number. On submit, the details are transmitted to a server of our hosting provider Vercel (serverless function, located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany) and sent from there by email to our mailbox b2b@topasells.com, which is operated by IONOS SE. No third-party form or delivery service is used, there is no database, and the details are not stored beyond the email itself. To protect against automated submissions, the server checks the time taken to fill in the form and limits the number of requests per IP address; for this purpose the IP address is held only briefly in memory and is not logged. We process these details solely to handle and answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) together with your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give via the checkbox in the form. The enquiry is stored in our email mailbox and deleted once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under German commercial or tax law for business correspondence) require otherwise. Data is not passed on to third parties.
Counting taps on the App Store buttons
On the Snap & Swipe page (topasells.com/apps/snapandswipe/ and its English version) we count how often the buttons to the App Store are tapped. When you tap one, the page sends a short message to a serverless function of our hosting provider Vercel (located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany). Only the day (in UTC), the campaign value of the App Store link (the "ct" parameter, for example the name of an ad) and which button was tapped (at the top, at the end of the page or in the bar at the bottom of the screen) are counted. Taps are added up into daily totals; a single tap and its time are not stored. No IP address, browser or device details or other identifiers are stored. No cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device. The totals cannot be linked to a person. As with every page view, Vercel processes the access data named in the Hosting section; the function itself stores none of it. The purpose is to see which ads bring visitors to the App Store. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is measuring how well our advertising works. The totals are kept in non-public storage (Vercel Blob) at Vercel in Frankfurt am Main and deleted after 12 months.
