The short version

Puffree runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store or transmit any of your personal data — not to us and not to third parties.

2. What Data We Collect

None. Puffree collects no personal data. There is no server, no user account, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party services that receive your information.

3. What Stays on Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your iPhone. This data never leaves your device:

  • Name (optional): If you enter a first name so the app can address you.
  • Quit date: The date and time you stopped vaping, as the basis for the timeline.
  • Weekly spending: Your estimate of what you used to spend on vapes, used to calculate your savings.
  • Your reasons: The reasons for quitting you select or write yourself.
  • Progress: Cravings you got through, relapse statistics, your longest streak and the state of your plant.
  • Settings: Language, notification preference, onboarding status and app preferences.

This data is stored in local app storage on your device only. You can change it at any time in the app, or remove it entirely by uninstalling the app.

4. Notifications

If you allow it, Puffree sends a small number of milestone notifications (nine in the first year), each one when your body has reached a documented milestone. iOS asks for your permission first.

These notifications are scheduled and triggered entirely on your device. No push notifications are sent via a server, and no information about them leaves your device. You can revoke the permission at any time in your iOS settings or in the app.

5. In-App Purchases (Voluntary Support)

Puffree is completely free, with all features included. You can voluntarily support the app with a one-time contribution. This purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the StoreKit framework. We receive no payment information, no credit card details and no personal data from Apple — only an anonymised purchase confirmation so the app can show the supporter badge.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The app uses no cookies, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers (IDFA), analytics services or third-party SDKs. We do not participate in any advertising network.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

Because we collect or process no personal data, most GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) have no data to which they could be applied. However, you have the right to:

8. Health-Related Notes

The Puffree timeline summarises what is generally accepted about quitting nicotine. These are general health information, not medical advice, and they are calculated exclusively on your device. No health data is collected, stored or transmitted to Apple Health or third parties.

9. Children

Puffree is aimed at adults who want to quit vaping. We knowingly collect no data from anyone, neither children nor adults.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be published at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted at the top.
